Trump Jr.: I’m not running for Congress because I’m a good dad

POLITICO – Trump Jr. wrote on Twitter Monday that he isn’t running for office because he’s a good father.
“I am a dad,” Trump Jr., who attended high school in Pennsylvania and now lives in Washington, D.C., wrote.
“I do not think I am going to run for public office.”
Trump Jr. was a classmate of President Donald Trump’s at Mar-a-Lago.
He said he first started running for public life in 2016 and became a member of the Trump family’s “Family Leadership Initiative” in 2020.
He added that he was “trying to help people” and was “not going to be a politician” until he was 34.
His parents, Eric and Melania Trump, have been outspoken on the subject of gay marriage, and they are the subject for several television commercials during the 2016 presidential campaign.
In recent weeks, the family has also been pushing back against critics of Trump Jr.’s public statement on the matter.
The Trump Organization has said that it has nothing to do with the campaign, though it has been criticized by conservatives and other media outlets.
